CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 4 seed North Carolina Tar Heels will host West Virginia this weekend in Chapel Hill in the NCAA Super Regional starting on Friday, June 7, at Boshamer Stadium, the NCAA announced Tuesday morning. Carolina's first game against WVU will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday with Saturday's game slated for an 8 p.m. start. The third game of the series, if necessary, is tentatively set for 3 p.m.
All three games will be televised on ESPN2.
The Tar Heels (45-14) advanced to the Super Regional round with a 4-3, 10-inning victory over reigning champion LSU in the Chapel Hill Regional championship game on Monday.
West Virginia (36-22) went 3-0 in the Tucson Regional with a 4-1 win over Dallas Baptist on Friday and back-to-back wins over Grand Canyon, a 5-2 win on Saturday and a 10-6 victory on Sunday.
The Tar Heels and Mountaineers have played seven times previously with the last meeting coming in 2014 when UNC won two of three against WVU at Boshamer Stadium. Carolina holds a 7-2 advantage in the all-time series.

Parking will be available in the Rams Head Deck for $10 and in the Craige Deck for free (levels 5-9) on Saturday and Sunday, as well as Friday after at 4 p.m. Beginning at 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday, there will also be free parking available in the Bowles Lot, the Raleigh Road Visitors Lot and on Stadium Drive. Disability parking is available for $10 in the Rams Head Deck. Ridge Road will be closed to through traffic for the weekend.
