Who said "no one hated" the Chainsaw Man anime? lol of course there are people who hated but we're talking about general audience reception, not the minority.

Who cares about the CSM series anymore? It's done.

I had the same type of conversation on twitter with all the AoT ending haters who went gung-ho on the editor that posted something that wasn't even about AoT... It's tiring.

Director made a choice, you didn't like, your right. So, you're going to whine again and again for how many years before you get tired too?

You'll have the opportunity to whine again if the movie is not to your liking. Be happy you get new material at all.

Chainsawman's anime was successful in a regular sense, but it wasn't the new breakaway hit everyone had expected it to be (including the studio themselves, they really went all in on the show and then chose a crappy director who cut down the best aspects of the source material). It was meant to be a new cultural phenomenon rounding out the trio of 'dark battle shounen' after Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen being smash hits, but instead it wasn't even the biggest new series of its season (that title went to Bocchi the Rock).

In my opinion, the anime cannot be blamed there. There are so many manga that have wonderful anime, but they don't become phenomenal sales.

It's simply not the Chainsaw Man manga that has the characteristics to become a hit like Jujutsu.

It's probably not commercial enough.

I can see some chances of Kagurabachi even reaching 1.2 million copies in circulation when volume 5 gets released in December

Also considering how much the last volumes are dropping in sales, CSM would never be able to keep a big status even if the anime made it go JJK levels.

What was the last manga to reach 1 million so fast ?
Blue Box had 1.1 million with 5 volumes

As I said previously (context: on Sept 30 it was announced Kagurabachi had 900000 with 4 volumes)

SharkBait said:

Kagurabachi next goal is 1 million, though it's selling slower than Haikyuu which had 1 million at volume 4, and my hero academia at volume 3, and Shokugeki no Soma at vol 3.

I remember how many people didn’t have a single hope for this manga because it started as a meme, now it’s the biggest hit of 2023 who is shaping to become a hit on part with a few huge series, what a ride lmao
(Nakano almost killed it tho)

I swear People act like they got a blue Lock 2nd season /7ds adaption

Csm got freaking 20 types of crazy new endings credits,,, sure the direction was more "generic movie style" but it's better to have an adaption like this then to try something wayy off to "replicate fujimotos mind"

And this is exactly why I dislike whenever someone says Demon slayer is only popular because of it's good animation.

Reprint for all volumes announced
Congrats to Kagurabachi on 1 million copies in circulation

Alright +100000 since Sept 30 is not bad. Next is to see if it picks up the pace to match the trajectory of Haikyuu (1.5 million at 5 volumes) Shokugeki no Soma and My Hero Academia (2 million at 5 volumes).

Tsumi is fake, he just goes saying everything is getting a anime, he (or one of his alt accounts) even said PPPPPP was getting a anime, after being canceled already, but this "there's a game of thrones with studios trying to animate Kagurabachi" also sounds very fake since any big studio and staff right now are full of projects in their hands already.

Where you can find to watch?

English or Portuguese?

It WASNT. It didnt raise manga sales in any significant matter, blu-ray \dvd sales was bad and practically Mappa admit they simply got back many they invested which is HUGE fail for them since they hoped it would hit big.

The anime not boosting sales is NOT because of the anime “flopping”. If it had not taken a break, there’s still be huge momentum going off of the end of Part 1, they could’ve ridden off of that until the anime. Not only did the break kill momentum and cause sales to drop, muting the effect of the actually good anime boost, Part 2 is also horribly received in Japan, so the lack of growth/drop is entirely on the manga.

Oh yeah? Do you say that because of the dropping sales or the reviews about it are bad?

CSM adaptation was awesome, I really liked the 'serious tone' and cinematic feel they gave it to it. I'm so excited to get to the second part on the anime (even if it will take years) because the second part to me is way better than the first one

Brb gonna spoil myself!

Got the three physical issues with some of my faves on the covers (OP, Kagurabachi, Sakamoto Days), Hunter x Hunter’s first three chapters back, and an incredible run for Akane-banashi. Happy Jump fan right now.
